Mussoorie Library bazaar, Uttarakhand India
Library Bazaar is one of the lively shopping venues in Mussoorie. The bazaar
is named after a Victorian-style Library. It was built in the mid-19th century. This old library is a wonderful blend of history and heritage. There is a lot of nostalgia attached to this important landmark of Mussoorie. One such piece of past is the Band Stand, which once used to compose soulful melody. Today it sings the song of glorious colonial days.
Library Bazaar in Mussoorie is also known as Gandhi Chowk because of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, standing tall in one corner of the bazaar. It is beautifully decorated with provision stores and several other tiny shops; all arranged in a circle, it offers some breathtaking views of the picturesque hill station.
Library Bazaar in Mussoorie is a charming mirror of the past. |
